With over 35 years of accounting experience, learning his trade in predominantly manufacturing based businesses, he started his own freelance adventure. Offering up his wealth of knowledge, and often acting as an interim finance manager on a short term basis to provide long term solutions for companies with problematic accounting set ups, Leigh Accountancy Limited was born. The aim : to offer his experience to sole traders and small limited companies at the start up stage all the way through to fully formed businesses.

With his years of experience comes a fountain of wisdom on avoiding the common pitfalls of modern business and finding solutions to existing problems.
 

Michael is our AAT level 3 apprentice. He currently mainly works on basic bookkeeping which is overseen by our lead accountant on software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. He also has been improving our manual record-keeping systems to improve efficiency. His main focus will be helping clients get into the digital world of accounting ready for the Making Tax Digital model that will soon be mandatory. This is Michael's first venture into the accounting world, following just short of 10 years in the NHS, time which has given him the understanding that each client will need a tailored approach to their business and the people skills to truly care about your business and the visions you hold most important. 

Having been in a successful business partnership, involved heavily on the admin side, ensuring a smooth running of the business behind the scenes. Suzanne decided that it was time she took on a different challenge and joined Leigh Accountancy, where she has since become an invaluable member of the team, becoming the go-to for our client's bookkeeping needs.
